Since 1987, Hawkeye's Home Sitters® has made thousands of home visits and has contended with flooded basements, furnace failures, severe cold spells, heat waves, hail storms, record snow falls and a tornado. During this period, significant experience has been gained through the care provided to a vast variety of pets: cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, chickens, fish, turtles, rodents, ferrets, newts and snakes , etc.

Our company:

In 1987, Dennis and Connie Pysyk started a family run home sitting business in Edmonton, Alberta, under the name of Hawkeye’s Home Sitting Services.  With the sale of the company to Art Gartner and Brenda Frick of Edmonton in 2002, Hawkeye's Home Sitters^® of Canada Ltd. became HAWKEYE’S HOME SITTERS® INTERNATIONAL INC. and is Edmonton’s largest and oldest home sitter.

Art Gartner had successfully run his own computer consulting business for the 25 years. He brought to the organization his analytical skills in helping businesses obtain their objectives.  In 2002, Art assumed the role of President for HAWKEYE’S HOME SITTERS® INTERNATIONAL INC. until his death in November 2006.

Brenda Frick has over fifteen years of merchandising and business management experience.  Brenda is involved in the day-to-day operations of HAWKEYE’S HOME SITTERS® INTERNATIONAL INC., has run two franchises in Edmonton, and has assumed the role of Franchise Director and President.
